Program Notes
A few weeks after I started school at USC, my appendix ruptured, and I spent a week in the hospital in downtown Los Angeles. Soon after, I wrote Exuberant Turns for string quartet as a visceral, slightly melancholy, but ultimately optimistic way of coping with that experience. |
